A Colima dog

A terracotta vessel in the form of a plump dog standing at attention. Large incised eyes and open mouth. The short upcurled tail forms a spout to the vessel. These vessels were used a a grave gift. Terracotta with a red slib, nicely polished . Colima culture, proto classic, West-Mexico, 300 BC- 300 CE.
