A Tlatilco figural vessel

A small terracotta sitting figure with a bulbous abdomen with sideways turned face and two hands on the belly. The figure may represent a pregnant female, the open vase in the shape of an abdomen is probably be used as a libation vessel during pregnancy. Terracotta, Tlatilco culture, Mexico, 1200 – 500 BC.
